32 local Sutton Businesses attend this very lively, Magical and popular Speed Networking Morning. Theo split the whole group into four tables of eight.  Each person was given 90 seconds to inform everyone on their table all about their business and hand their cards out.  At 90 seconds Theo would sound his harmonica and the next person on the table would begin. Once everyone had a go everyone changed tables. Before each table started Theo would perform one of his Award Winning Magical Effects for everyone to see.  Mary Jane Taylor a Bookkeeper from www.vbiz-services.co.uk assisted Theo in his first Magic Trick. Mary was given a small piece of paper 2 inches long to feel. Theo then took it back, set light to it and out of a ball of fire a 20 inch Magic Wand appeared to the applause of everyone. James Sohl from www.suttontennisacademy.com helped Theo with a comical card trick, which made his card he thought of turn itself around in the pack, while he was holding it.

Everyone was given a card at the beginning for a Magic Prize Draw. Ben Singer was asked to chose a card. The Winning Card was the ten of clubs, which Tony Matthews of www.absolutesolutions.co.uk had. Tony Won a Magic One to One Session with Theo. This includes Theo showing Tony either how to do a couple of Magic Tricks or to help his introductory presentations at Networking Events more Magical and Memorable.

After the Speed Networking everyone grabbed a coffee and continued Networking freely for another twenty minutes.  This has always been a very popular event for Local  Sutton Businesses gaining alot of contacts and awareness of their local companies. Around 50 businesses attended the joint Sutton Chamber & Sutton United breakfast today. A great deal of networking took place with many new introductions being made. Two businesses joined the Chamber and a further 3 or 4 said they will be joining.
The speakers today included Barry Aplin, Commercial Direcor of SUFC, who introduced the Club and encouraged busineses to consider one of the club's sponsorship packages. Adrian Barry, Development manager for SUFC, explained about the club's plans to extennd their services into the community.

Then Brenda Kinght explained how through personal recommendation local businesses can join the elite list of 'The Best of Sutton'. Finally David Duncan, Chamber Chair, outlined the next few events and thanked the Club for hosting the event.

Wallington Sutton Purley Magic Circle Magician Theo added his Magic Touch to The Sutton Chamber of Commerce VIP Breakfast, which was entittled "Networking - A Great Deal of Hot Air with a London Corporate Magician".  Theo The Magician was asked to liven up this morning Networking Event by showing the 25 Businesses how to inflate their business in a fun way! You guessed it. Theo ran a taster of his Interactive Balloon Modelling Workshop for Managers by demostrating the art of Balloon Modelling. Theo taught everyone step by step on how to make a Balloon Dog.  Laughter filled the room and everyone had a bit of fun and at the same time learnt a new skill.  This worked as a great Ice Breaker, which lead straight into everyone giving a one minute presentation on their businesses to the whole room.

Saturday 24th April saw The Sutton Chamber of Commerce host Smartbiz at The Holiday Inn Sutton. It was sponsored by Lloyds Bank and was for Small Businesses and people wanting to start up their own business.  Over 50 people attended the free seminars throughout the day and were able to seek valuable advise from the business organisations exhibiting.
Theo The Magician entertained both attendees and exhibiters with his award winning Close Up Magic. Theo also promoted his Magic Sunflower Competition in aid of The Neonatl Unit at St Helier and The Royal Marsden in Carshalton.  For £5 you were given a pack of Ten Magic Seeds, Magic Tips and Magic Goodies.  There are prizes for The Tallest, Widest and Funniest Picture with your Sunflower.
