Theo's Magic Sunflower Competition
In Memory of Sarah Cure & Bill Shrimpton MONDAY 22ND MARCH 2010 7pm-9.30pm 90 people attended and over £1,000 was raised. Special thanks to Nick Lunnes of www.winesforu.co.uk for providing the wine on the night, Emma Carrington, Operations Manager of The Brookwood Partnership Ltd for providing Mini Quiches and Crisps and the Neonatal Unit for all the food and soft drinks.
Sarah had a Premature Baby boy Christian the same time Theo’s daughter Elena was born 10 weeks early weighing 2lbs. Christian weighed even less than Elena and his twin brother did not survive. Sarah passed away only 42 years old with Cancer in August 2009.
Bill was Captain of Cheam Fields Bowls Club last year and in May 2009 also passed away with Cancer. His grand children were also cared for at The Neonatal Unit.
This is a Fun Family way of remembering two lovely people and saying thank you to both Organisations that do fantastic work all year round to people in the community.
Sunflower Competition
It is £5 to enter. Entries will receive 10 Magic Seeds grown by Theo with an authenticated certificate to prove you are in the competition, with rules, how to grow, a magical gift and a mention of our sponsors. There will be prizes for the Tallest Sunflower, The Widest Sunflower Head and The Funniest Photo with your Sunflower.
