Two – Sutton’s Business Champion

Last year Theo The Magician was the only business at The Sutton Business Awards 2018 to pick up a special award. This was The Judges Special Commendation Award for his continuous fundraising in the Sutton area for local charities.
His main charity he supports is The Neonatal Unit at St Helier Hospital where his daughter was born ten weeks early weighing only 2lbs. Elena is no 17 very fit and healthy. Theo was so impressed with the care from all the doctors and nurses that he wanted to thank them in some way. He organised and arrange lots of charity events involving local businesses and talked at a lot of Rotary Clubs. At the Rotary Clubs Theo would go along to their weekly lunches or dinners sharing his experience of having a premature baby, explain the different ways he has been fundraising and perform some of his award winning Close Up and Stage Show Magic. This was in exchange for a nice donation to the Neonatal Unit. Theo managed to raise a total of £20,000 and bought them an Incubator.
Theo the Magician has been supporting lots of different local charities since moving to Sutton twenty-two years ago.

In January 2019 Magic Theo help raise over £3,800 at Oxygen Freejumping at Purley Way. It was a trampolining event for children to have fun for a few hours. It was the actual idea of a five-year-old Dhillon who was a premature baby from Kingston Hospital who wanted to say thank you to them and buy them an Incubator.
At the end of 2018 Theo organised one of his popular Fun Charity Poker Nights with local businesses. £1,200 was raised. £500 went to the Royal Marsden and the rest was divided into All Saints Church Banstead, Bob Watson’s Christmas Appeal and local Sutton Charities.
Theo met Bob Watson at The Sutton Business Awards 2018. Bob won the Sutton Business Champion for his Christmas fundraising appeal. Theo was so impressed with his appeal that he was more than happy to support him.
Theo will be supporting two different charities at his next event……………………………….
