I enjoyed a fantastic afternoon on International Women’s Day at the Sutton Women Mean Business Launch at Sutton Point in association with Willmott Dixon Construction with some very inspirational women of Sutton.

We were welcomed with words of wisdom from Katharine Glass of White Label Creative, Cllr. Ruth Dombey of London Borough of Sutton and Sarah Fraser of Willmott Dixon Construction

We then enjoyed a very scrummie afternoon tea with cream and jam scones, which disappeared “Just Like That” whilst networking.

There was then a very inspirational presentation by Susie Ma founder of Tropic Skincare and Apprentice Finalist. She has based her ever building successful business in Sutton and is pictured with Sutton’s Magic Man Theo The Magician who is also Mobile Sports Massage by Theo Picture curtesy of Helen Colechin-Hr of The The HR Dept South London

Successful Sutton Patricia Park and The Mayor of Sutton Cllr. Steve Cook (who is not a woman) presented special portraits to some of Sutton’s Inspiring women. Some are also pictured below with that Sutton Magic Man “Theo The Magician”- Nuala Lynch owner of Riva Bingo Club Sutton and Firefighter Naomi Glen (picture taken by her mother who I worked with on a fundraising event at David Weir Leisure Centre over ten years ago in aid of The Neonatal Unit Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust where my daughter was cared for after being born ten weeks early weighing only 2lbs).
