Theo The Magician started his Fundraising over 30 years ago as a Member of The Kingston Rotaract Club (Younger version of Rotary). He found by having fun you can raise money a lot easier. A few years into his new volunteer roll he become one of the youngest Rotaract President’s, one of the youngest District Chairman in the country and youngest Rotaractor to serve on the Rotary/Rotaract World Wide Committee as an advisor.
Theo attended Conferences all over the UK and World speaking on fundraising and community events. This included attending The Rotaract World Wide Conference held on the Gold Coast Australia where he spoke on Water Skiing for Disabled People as a Water Ski Instructor and speaking at both Rotary and Rotaract Clubs all over Australia.
On returning to the Uk form his Year World Wide Tour Theo became a Sports Development Officer for the British Sports Association for the Disabled. His biggest achievement was teaching over 160 disabled people from five-year olds to 65 the Sport of Boccia (an indoor version of bowls and now a Paralympic Sport). This was held at Stoke Mandeville Buckinghamshire with a little help from Mr Blobby.
After moving to Sutton Surrey Theo had a Magic Baby. Elena appeared ten weeks early weighing just 2lbs at The Neonatal Unit at St Helier Hospital Carshalton. She is now seventeen, fit and healthy. Theo was so impressed with the care she received he raised over £20,000 for a new Incubator. Then, with his experience of Fundraising and added Business Skills went on to form “Extreme Business Networking By Theo The Magician”
With this group Theo brings together local businesses in a fun way supporting local charities. Fun Networking Events have included, Bowling, Laserquest, Pool, Bar Olympics and his now famous Magic Sunflower Competition, which will be held for the third time in 2019. Over the years Theo has raised thousands of pounds for lots of different local charities.
This has led to Theo The Magician winning a few Business Awards. The two most memorable are winning The Best Business in the Community in the Sutton Business Awards in 2012 and most recently winning the Judges Special Commendation Award at The Sutton Business Awards June 2018.
